The Annapolis Police Department's Reentry Program is designed to help those returning from incarceration to lead a better life upon release. Officers Robert Horne and Dannette Smikle work with nonprofit partners to help people get an education to ply a trade or to provide counseling for drug addiction or mental health issues. The program is not limited to returning citizens.
