Maryland COVID hospitalizations dip below 1,000 for first time since November; case rates continue to decline

Maryland health officials reported 618 new cases of the coronavirus and 18 more deaths Sunday as the number of people hospitalized due to the virus fell below 1,000 for the first time since November.
